  • Boundaries

    The wetland is situated at the boundary of Neotiauwan River and Baiguan Estuary; it extends north to Chenglong No. 2 Bridge along the riverbank of NieuTeauwon River, south to Baigung River levee, east to Provincial Highway 17 and Yunchia Bridge and west to the six-meter isobaths off the west coast.

  • Introduction

    The Yiwu Farm, covering an area of 400 ha, belongs to Tai-suco. In addition to Baigung River, the Jienshan and Niausong Ditches also pass through the farm.

  • Ecological resources of importance

    Plants include Phragmites australis, Pluchea indica, Hibiscus tiliaceus, as well as artificial forests planted by Tai-suco. In past two years, egret nests were found in Tai-suco's artificial forest near Provincial Highway 61.

    Black-faced Spoonbill.

    Oriental White Stork, Painted Snipe, Saunders' Gull, Black-shouldered Kite (breeding).

    Brown Shrike, Black-winged Stilt (breeding site), Odontomyia halophila (specimen collection site).

    The land continues to subside, and the Water Resources Agency uses the farm to install detention ponds. Invasive species such as Sacred Ibis and Tilapia are considered potential threats to the wetland's ecosystem.
