"A study on wetlands-friendly business programs and growth potentials" - Carnival
In addition to their incredible natural resources and rich biodiversity, wetlands are also known for their vital role in the integrity of our food pyramid. This event aims at raising awareness and encouraging a sustainable partnership between rice paddies and fisheries operated in wetland areas, and conservation programs of wildlife habitats. Produce and fish products from these wetlands areas would be marketed during the carnival in a bid to support local farmers.

Sep 25 (Sun), 2016, 11:00 - 12:00 at Agri-Clinic
A modern voyager who revels in documenting his slow travels and in-depth expeditions around Taiwan's wetlands with full-bodied prose.
Attendants will be feted with an amazing repertoire of music that helps raise awareness on the importance of wetlands and environmental outreach.
Short films and documentaries made by various government agencies and Taiwan Wetland Society would be featured. These amazing cinematic stories tell of migratory birds at Chenglung Wetlands and their adventures. These marvelous short clips help bridge the distance between wetlands and people's awareness. Each clip runs at no longer than 15 minutes.
The race consists of four rounds of adventures, and we welcome parents to the event with your children, to learn more about wetlands and their importance in our ecosystem. Race participants have to be either junior high school students or primary schoolchildren. Those who purchase groceries produced by wetlands-friendly farmers would be awarded one point for every NT$100 of purchase. 800 sets of DIY materials would be available on site. Children can take home their handiwork as keepsakes.
